Siberian ginseng - Eleutherococcus Senticosus:
- supports the immune system
- helps reduce physiological responses to stress (environmental habituation)
- has a positive effect on physical performance
- helps to keep blood sugar levels balanced
Comfrey - Symphytum Officinalis:
- rich in allantoin with growth-promoting properties and faster tissue repair: skin, muscles and bones
- stimulates optimal digestion
Cabbage - Brassica Oleracea:
- Has a protective effect on the gastric mucosa.
Walnut - Juglans Regia:
- contributes to healthy intestinal flora (activates beneficial bacteria)
- important source of antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids:
- EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid): beneficial effect on skin and coat condition
- DHA (docosahexaenoic acid): promotes brain function (development, focus) and cell metabolism - high in iron: production of red blood cells and hemoglobin + answers the higher iron requirement of puppies (due to growing tissues)
The nut is known for helping to restore intestinal flora. Perhaps the main effect of walnuts takes place at intestinal microbiome level. This is a dynamic ecosystem of trillions of micro-organisms that help to convert undigested food into energy or other useful compounds. About 20% of walnuts’ nutrients are found at the intestinal microbiome. These undigested walnut components have a positive effect on the metabolism, but also the resistance system and even the mood. The quality and quantity of beneficial bacteria in the intestinal microbiome are influenced by walnuts, and in turn affect general health. Some studies with rodents suggest that walnuts are a kind of prebiotics, which selectively promote the numbers and activity of beneficial bacteria.
Egg powder:
- important source of immunoglobulins for good resistance
- fat from egg yolk is a source of essential omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, powerful antioxidants such as lutein and zeaxanthin (beneficial effect on long-term eye health)
- source of essential amino acids that stimulates muscle mass and development
Eggshell powder:
- highly absorbable calcium: building strong bones and teeth
- amino acids and collagen supporting mobility and joints
Vitamin A:
- crucial for growth, muscle and neurological development
Vitamin D:
- helps in the regulation of: - calcium and phosphorus metabolism (bones and teeth)
- cell growth (development of healthy tissues and organs)
Vitamin E:
- natural antioxidant, which, in combination with selenium, ensures the building and maintenance of muscle volume and the removal of combustion substances in the muscles

How long to administer Puppy Support?
The growth of a puppy varies by dog breed/size. Based on adult weight:
- Small dog 1 - 10 kg
your dog's body will grow until the age of 8 to 10 months
- Medium-sized dog 10 kg - 25 kg
the body of your dog grows to the age of 12 months (1 year)
- +25 kg | Large dog (25 kg to 45 kg)
the body of your dog grows until the age of 18 months (1.5 year)
- +25 kg | Very large dog (> 45 kg)
the body of your dog grows until the age of 24 months (2 years)
A puppy's development:
The most crucial and defining stage of your dog's life for a healthy and active life is at puppy age. Healthy growth and development of skeletal structure, teeth, brain function, resistance and intestinal health have a long-term beneficial effect on your four-legged friend.
At the age of 8 weeks, a puppy has completely switched from mother's milk to solid food. From then on, a puppy relies on the completeness of the food offered for the absorption of necessary nutrients. Puppy Support provides a solution for that absorption with a palatable food supplement. The life stage of puppy varies from breed to breed. Small breeds mature faster (from 9 months) than large breeds (12 to 18 months).
Skeletal structure and bones
A puppy's bone and skeletal structure develops tremendously up to 4 months or 12 weeks of age and determines lifelong health. Overloading that skeletal structure and developing muscles can cause problems at a later stage of life.
Teeth
Teeth also determine the health of your four-legged friend in the next life stages. A puppy's first baby teeth come through when approximately 3 - 4 weeks old. Ensure a straight position of the teeth when switching from puppy teeth into adult teeth to prevent dental problems.
- 3 weeks: the first milk teeth come through
- 3 months: milk teeth are complete
- 4 - 6 months: milk teeth erupt for adult teeth (large breeds usually shed their teeth earlier)
- 5 - 6 months: vet check-up is recommended
- 7 months: all teeth have erupted
Mental challenge
Besides physical growth, there is also the development of brain functions where a puppy experiences mental challenges. In the socialisation or "fear" phases, a puppy often experiences stress. The new stimuli: environmental habituation, dog school, walking on a leash, etc. are mental challenges a puppy has to endure.
In the second socialisation phase, a puppy spontaneously finds things (including stimuli it already knows) scary or exciting again. Socialising is therefore very important together with support of nutrients that reduce stress.
