The nut is known for helping to restore intestinal flora. Perhaps the main effect of walnuts takes place at intestinal microbiome level. This is a dynamic ecosystem of trillions of micro-organisms that help to convert undigested food into energy or other useful compounds. About 20% of walnuts’ nutrients are found at the intestinal microbiome. These undigested walnut components have a positive effect on the metabolism, but also the resistance system and even the mood. The quality and quantity of beneficial bacteria in the intestinal microbiome are influenced by walnuts, and in turn affect general health. Some studies with rodents suggest that walnuts are a kind of prebiotics, which selectively promote the numbers and activity of beneficial bacteria.

A kitten's development:

The most crucial stage in a cat's life for ensuring a healthy and active life is when it is a kitten. During this stage, your kitten lays the foundation for strong bones, healthy teeth, well-developed brain functions, a strong immune system and balanced digestion. A good start has a long-lasting and positive effect on health.

After about 8 weeks, a kitten has completely switched from mother's milk to solid food and is entirely dependent on the nutrients from that food. A high-quality, complete diet is therefore essential for optimal growth. Kitten Support is a tasty dietary supplement that supports the absorption of important nutrients that contribute to healthy development. The duration of the kitten phase varies depending on breed and size. Small or short-growing breeds usually reach adulthood at around 9 to 12 months, while larger breeds sometimes take 12 to 15 months to reach full maturity.

Skeletal structure and bones

The bone and skeletal development of kittens is particularly intense in the first months of life and forms the basis for their later mobility and health. A balanced diet with sufficient calcium is very important in this regard.

Teeth

Teeth also play a crucial role. The first milk teeth appear at around 3 to 4 weeks of age, after which the transition to permanent teeth takes place between 3 and 6 months. Healthy tooth development prevents later dental problems and supports eating behaviour.

Mental challenge

Taurine

In addition to physical growth, the kitten's brain functions and social skills also develop. During this period, the animal learns to deal with new stimuli: other cats, people, sounds and different environments. This socialisation phase is essential for becoming a confident, well-balanced adult cat. Support with nutrients that contribute to stress reduction can help with this.

From kitten to adult

The growth and life stages from kitten to adult vary depending on breed and size. On average:

  • Kitten | 0 - 6 months
  • Junior | 7 months - 2 years
  • Young adult | 3 - 6 years
  • Adult | 7 - 10 years
  • Senior | 11 - 14 years
